Radiohead. New Album.

Did you feel the earth move?
I think the heavens opened up and a loud voice said, a new album from Radiohead is available 10/10/2007 (via download) choirs singing. It’s available in two formats – discbox and digital download. The discbox is set to be released December 3, 2007.
And best of all for the digital download – you name the price. really.

I love the fact that they’re real artists who set the game. Recently they pulled out of iTunes because they didn’t want their songs being sold separately but as complete albums. I respect that. I love the lost art of the album. The concept of the album has lost it’s meaning for today’s hitmakers. Call me old school. That’s just the way it is.

LT — Wow! “In Rainbows” is fantastic. I decided to test their “you name the price” policy and I did indeed download the album for free. But I’m no pirate! I want to support amazing music like this, and I will be paying something soon… really 🙂

I second your support of the lost art of the album. Hot singles and smash hits are great and all, but it’s sad when that becomes the ultimate model for the music industry. Of course, it is an industry and it’s about making money, but part of me wants to believe that there is still art in all this commerce — and listening to “In Rainbows” restores some of that hope!

[american born chinese pastor]
seeks to be that third place for those who are american born chinese [abc] in ministry.
here we may explore issues unique to the chinese church and doing ministry in that context
expand the intersection of asian american culture and christian faith
or simply expose what goes on in the mind of this abcpastor

this may be a bit ambitious or even naiive but i do hope that through the posts we can bring together different faith communities, passions for the advancement of the Gospel and the equipping of the body of Christ.

if you are an abc pastor or have any suggestions or would like to contribute to make this space evolve, just comment.
